Skills for Change Alberta brand
Skills for Change Alberta is piloting its training programs for progressive organizers in 2018.
As a non-partisan organization, the brand’s colours, and especially logo, needed to avoid a number of colours used by political parties so it would not appear associated. The line along the left side uses the more distinct western boundary to subtly represent the province geographically.
Type and colour are chosen to reinforce brand perception as knowledgeable, professional, fun, progressive, bold, authentic, and grassroots but not polished.
The client applied the type and colour to the website (with some consultation by me) which started getting email signups as soon as it was launched. Applications to the programs started rolling in a few days later.
